Job Title: Semi Truck Body Repair Technician Helper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Semi Truck Body Repair Technician Helper. In this role, you will assist our experienced technicians in the repair and maintenance of semi-truck bodies for our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians in dismantling damaged parts of semi-truck bodies to assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Learn how to use various tools and equipment, such as wrenches, hammers, cutters, welding machines, etc., under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Assist with repairing and replacing damaged parts, such as doors, fenders, hoods, roofs, lights, etc.
  • Support painters by preparing surfaces for painting and applying protective coatings when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each day.
  • Contribute to maintaining an accurate inventory of materials and tools, reporting any shortages or damages to management.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge of semi-truck body repair techniques.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve goals and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with clients, colleagues, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning new skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions closely and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours when required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
