Job Title: App Sys Analyst/Programmer

We are seeking a skilled App Sys Analyst/Programmer to join our team at OBXtek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, analyzing, and implementing software operating systems and software application programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software operating systems and applications, including full life cycle design and development.
  • Work from specifications to develop and modify operating systems and software applications.
  • Participate in the design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
  • Analyze system architecture requirements and perform requirements acquisition and definition and data analysis.
  • Customize purchased applications and perform technical and subject matter research on emerging technologies.
  • Analyze and document client needs and requirements.
  • Participate in the writing, modifying, and maintaining technical documentation and specifications.
  • Perform integration testing and support of various computer operating and/or network systems.
  • Debug and provide customer support for software operating system and application issues.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering, including the design, coding, testing, and documentation of computer programs.
  • Proficiency in SQL using Ingres and/or Oracle technologies.
  • Linux/Unix knowledge and command line/Vi Editor experience is required.
  • Experience with Development tools like SQL Developer, TOAD, etc., required.
  • Full Stack Development experience using Ingres and/or Oracle.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or Associates Degree (A.A./A.S.) in a related field or at minimum Information Technology (IT) Certification.

Candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Candidate must possess strong oral communication and written comprehension capabilities.
