Role Responsibilities:

The role involves delivering patient care in alignment with established practice standards. You will enhance team patient care access by providing direct patient services through both in-person and virtual consultations, while also collaborating with fellow providers to address patient needs between visits.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with assigned providers within a clinic to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, determine diagnoses, and formulate treatment plans.
  • Patient Education: Engage in patient education for chronic illness management and wellness care.
  • Consultation: Consult with physicians or experienced APCs when patient needs exceed your scope of practice.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.

Preferred Experience:

  • One year of experience in Primary Care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • State of MN and/or WI RN license required for Nurse Practitioners.
  • NP or PA State of MN and/or WI license/certification required.
  • DEA certification required.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: Lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, in accordance with the Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy.
