Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a range of administrative and clinical tasks. This includes greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and updating patient records. You will also assist physicians during examinations and procedures, take vital signs, and prepare patients for examination.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and inventory management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients and gather contact information
  2. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  3. Schedule appointments and update patient records
  4. Prepare rooms and ensure supplies are ready
  5. Take and record patient vitals
  6. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a medical field (preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience working in healthcare
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
