Job Description & Requirements

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Professional Development Manager to lead our Cardiac Medicine and Surgery team.

  • Specialty: Cardiology

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership and a passion for professional development. They will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement professional development programs for nursing staff
  • Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to achieve departmental goals
  • Participate in budgetary planning and management
  • Lead quality and safety efforts, promoting a just culture framework
  • Develop and maintain policies and guidelines for nursing practice

Requirements:

  • MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or a BSN with a Masters degree in a related field
  • Specialty certification in Cardiology or Cardiovascular Nursing
  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a clinical nurse with demonstrated evidence of leadership progression
