The incumbent will be responsible for pinpointing and executing continuous improvement initiatives by creating best practice tools, methodologies, and processes that minimize waste, foster data-driven decision-making, and implement structured problem-solving techniques. This position also plays a vital role in cultivating capabilities and a Lean culture to support the ongoing development of the Cirrus team and the expanding business landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and advocate for team members and management in leading, defining, and executing continuous improvement strategies that align with key initiatives and drive performance enhancements.
- Implement strategies to raise Lean awareness and enhance team members' understanding and skills regarding Lean principles within operations.
- Identify potential improvement opportunities and spearhead Kaizen events.
- Design and deliver Lean training programs that incorporate real-world, business-specific scenarios, promoting continuous improvement and sustainable outcomes.
- Oversee and manage complex projects that span multiple functions and departments.
- Conduct thorough analyses to identify process improvement opportunities, assess alternatives, and prioritize redesign efforts.
- Create and develop toolkits and processes to assist leaders in effective business management.
- Operate independently and objectively while leading initiatives to develop and implement process improvements, change management, and standardization of business practices.
- Support teams in developing standard operating procedures, training programs, and metrics to facilitate business and system changes.
- Plan and provide training on Continuous Improvement methodologies to others.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives on critical projects aimed at enhancing service delivery concerning safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential function effectively. The following qualifications are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; or a combination of 4 years of experience and education in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in implementing Lean methodologies and practices.
Certifications
Lean Practitioner or equivalent certification
Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Other Requirements
Proven leadership in Kaizen events
Demonstrated success in developing training and coaching employees in a continuous improvement environment
Ability to lead and nurture a diverse team
Strong decision-making and conflict resolution capabilities
