Role Summary:

The Medical Director will be tasked with supervising the medical care and clinical services offered to residents. This position requires collaboration with healthcare professionals, management of clinical protocols, and adherence to healthcare regulations. The Medical Director will be instrumental in elevating the quality of care, enhancing patient outcomes, and nurturing a supportive work environment for our clinical staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Offer medical guidance and direction to the healthcare team, ensuring top-tier standards of care.
  • Patient Care: Oversee and engage in the direct care of residents, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
  • Quality Assurance: Formulate and execute clinical protocols and guidelines to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and train clinical personnel, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and professional advancement.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with administrative staff, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and improve patient care services.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, along with internal policies and procedures.
  • Community Engagement: Act as a representative of KOPA within the community and cultivate relationships with external healthcare providers and organizations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in the state of [Location].
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in long-term care or geriatric medicine is preferred.
