Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
- Certificate in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
- State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification.
