We are seeking a skilled Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Newmark Healthcare Services, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a community hospital setting with a level 3 trauma center and a wide range of medical specialties.

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical exams, focusing on ENT-related concerns.
  • They will diagnose and manage various conditions related to the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck, such as infections, allergies, hearing loss, tinnitus, voice disorders, sinus problems, and more.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in ordering, interpreting, and following up on diagnostic tests, including audiometry, CT scans, MRIs, and lab work, as needed for ENT conditions.
  • They will assist in the management and treatment of patients undergoing ENT procedures, including pre- and post-operative care.
  • The Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner will prescribe medications and recommend non-pharmacological therapies, such as lifestyle modifications or referrals to specialists.
  • They will perform minor ENT procedures, such as ear wax removal, nasal endoscopies, and management of epistaxis (nosebleeds).
  • The successful candidate will educate patients and families on disease management, prevention strategies, and treatment options.
  • They will collaborate closely with ENT surgeons and other healthcare providers to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • The Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner will maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring adherence to best practices and regulations.
  • They will participate in professional development and continuing education activities to stay current with advancements in ENT care.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is required.
  • Certification or Board Eligibility as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP is also required.
  • Experience in Otolaryngology (ENT) is preferred but not necessary; candidates with relevant experience in primary care or internal medicine are encouraged to apply.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and diagnostic skills, with a focus on ENT-related conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team is crucial.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is also required.
