Job Description:

Unit Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry unit. Our unit features 32 private rooms and 10 additional beds in a similar setting, providing a dynamic and challenging environment for our nurses.

Responsibilities:

  • Care for cardiac post-procedural patients, including those with conditions such as CHF, angina, acute MI, and arrhythmias
  • Handle and monitor patients undergoing TAVR, watchman procedures, CABG, MVR, AVR, EP studies, and various cardiac tests and protocols
  • Maintain patient ratios of RN: 1:4-5 and CNA: 1:8-10 (day), 1:10 (night)
  • Participate in hospital and unit orientation, including shadowing and preceptor support
  • Follow a weekend rotation schedule of every other weekend
  • Approved time off for up to 6 days available, with expectation to extend contract if requesting a full week off

Requirements:

  • Charge experience or willingness to gain it
  • Proficiency in reading/interpreting rhythm strips
  • Experience with chest tubes and temporary pacemakers preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Cerner charting system
