Job Description

Bowman and Brooke is a leading law firm in complex civil litigation. We are experts in litigating cases in state and federal courts, delivering exceptional results to our clients. Our diverse client base includes top brands in various industries.

We are seeking a litigation paralegal to join our team in Orlando, FL. Our paralegals play a vital role on our case teams, respected for their ideas and contributions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, edit, and proofread various documents, including correspondence, agreements, and pleadings.
  • Work with attorneys to advance litigation in each case, updating team members on case status and alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
  • Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
  • Manage electronic case files using a document management system to ensure information is organized and easily accessible.
  • Prepare for trial, including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, and preparing exhibits.

  • Meticulous, diligent, personable, and highly motivated.
  • Capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
  • Able to anticipate challenges and exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions and take effective action.
  • Deliver high-quality work product and take ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Comfortable with learning new technology and processes.
  • Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial.
  • Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter, and record accurate billing entries.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs (files and boxes).

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years' litigation law firm experience (defense experience preferred).
