As a Cellular Modem RF Software Engineering Program Manager at Apple, you will be responsible for leading the development of cellular RF software controlling RF transceivers and front-end components in real-time full signaling mode. You will track execution for RF SW plans across project phases from implementation and pre-silicon validation to cellular feature bring-up. Your key responsibilities will include managing maturization of RF Software through cellular modem system testing, field testing, interoperability testing, and production ramp. You will also drive and report RF Software activities for development, validation, non-regression testing, release management, improvements, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Own the development of Cellular RF Software controlling RF transceivers and front-end components in real-time full signaling mode.
- Track execution for RF SW plans across project phases from implementation and pre-silicon validation to cellular feature bring-up.
- Manage maturization of RF Software through cellular modem system testing, field testing, interoperability testing, and production ramp.
- Drive and report RF Software activities for development, validation, non-regression testing, release management, improvements, and defect resolution.
- Anticipate risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Deliver presentations supporting executive reviews including project status, key metrics, top risks, and issues.
- Demonstrated ability with a track record of hands-on program management, project management, or engineering management in the FW/SW domain.
- Relevant proven experience in cellular modem Layer 1/RF Software development and/or RF verification.
- Good understanding of Development Lifecycle for embedded Software.
- Knowledge of cellular modem baseband building blocks and software layers.
- Good understanding of RF transceiver and RF front-end components control for cellular modems.
- Knowledge of RF Cellular major features, real-time requirements, and associated challenges.
- Experience in wireless standards a significant plus (GSM/UMTS/4G LTE/5G-NR/5G-mmW).
- Ability to quickly establish and manage sophisticated multi-functional relationships in a dynamic engineering environment.
- Creative problem solver with ability to lead technical teams and multi-functional groups against plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at senior management level.
- Experience demonstrating strong presentation skills.
BS and 10+ years relevant industry experience.
