Position Overview: We are seeking qualified female candidates for the role of Specimen Collector II, responsible for conducting observed collections for female patients.

At Millennium Health LLC, a recognized specialty laboratory with over a decade of expertise in medication monitoring and drug testing services, we support clinicians in managing prescription medication and illicit drug use, ultimately enhancing clinical decision-making for millions of individuals facing chronic pain, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens from patients.
  • Process and package specimens for shipping.
  • Act as a liaison between healthcare practices and the laboratory.
  • Document patient details, physician orders, and relevant laboratory information.
  • Address specimen-related concerns regarding billing or patient information in the ordering portal.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of collection supplies on-site.
  • Oversee specimen collection for Millennium Health when applicable.
  • Travel between multiple facilities may be necessary, including occasional overnight coverage.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certification as a phlebotomist with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (experience may substitute for certification).
  • At least 6 months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in a medical role directly supporting patients is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience may be considered in lieu of medical experience.
  • Proficiency in using smartphones and computers is required.
  • Preferred experience in phlebotomy.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with medical insurance/billing and/or knowledge of medications and diagnostic codes is advantageous.
  • Commitment to adhering to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality, and compliance policies and standards.
  • Ability to maintain administrative, physical, and technical cybersecurity controls.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Physical requirements include: sitting 90%, walking 5%, standing 5%, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
