About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Control Panel Assembler to join our team at Siemens Industry, Inc. in Hillsboro, OR. As a key member of our Panel Fabrication Shop, you will be responsible for assembling and modifying electronic equipment, including Building Automation, Fire, and Security Control Panels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Modification: Assemble or modify electronic equipment using electromechanical tools and equipment, and wiring schematics.
  • Tool Operation: Operate tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade, including hand and power tools, wire strippers, pliers, and crimpers.
  • Documentation and Quality Control: Read and interpret documents associated with the completion of mechanical and/or wiring assembly assignments, including blueprints, bill of materials, and one-line diagrams. Gather parts and accessories required in the assembly process, and verify that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Disassembly and Repair: Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts, mark unit assemblies with identifying information, and/or attach identifying tags.
  • Reporting and Shipping: Report non-conforming items, prepare finished units for shipping, including packing, sealing, labeling, and other related tasks.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure accurate functioning and safe working conditions.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, use of basic mechanical/measuring tools, and ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 75lbs.
  • Communication: Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
