Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Job Description

Celebrations Speech Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Oakland and Richmond, CA. As an SLPA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional services to our students across various grade levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct student speech therapy and implement services under the supervision of an SLP.
  • Document treatment plans and progress reports accurately, update student progress biannually.
  • Assist in scheduling IEP meetings and maintaining speech files.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Current California SLPA License.
  • In-person: Must be able to work on-site, in-person.
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Speech Pathology or a Bachelor's in Communication Disorders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, collaborative demeanor with a desire to work with diverse populations.
  • Exercise good judgment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Relocation and Commuter Benefits: Up to $2,000 relocation bonus for out-of-state applicants and a monthly commuter stipend for employees commuting over 40 miles one way.

  • Richmond Site: Primarily serves elementary grades, with some middle schoolers at a single school site. Celebrations Speech Group has historically worked with this district, providing an established and supportive environment full of fresh ideas.
  • Supportive Team: Collaborate with amazing supervising SLPs ready to welcome SLPAs to assist with managing caseloads and enhancing student outcomes.
