Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant I to join our team at CHI St Vincent. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vital signs and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist patients with ambulation, hygiene needs, and other daily activities as required.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by nursing staff and management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or completion of a Patient Care Technician (PCT) training course.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
