Job Summary:

The Referral Triage Coordinator at Baptist Health Care is responsible for coordinating, placing, and following up on patient appointments for multiple physicians in various specialties. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to prioritize calls, triage cases, and manage multiple electronic medical record systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinates patient appointments for multiple physicians in multiple specialties
- Prioritizes calls and triages cases under pressure
- Obtains and electronically inputs patient demographics
- Schedules appointments using multiple electronic medical record systems
- Ensures equitable physician distribution and provides follow-up to patients and referral sources

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree required
- One year of experience in healthcare or medical office
- Proficient in computer software programs, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively
- Ability to multi-task in high-stress situations
- Strong customer relations experience
- Maintains accuracy and organization of clerical data while adhering to HIPAA
