Job Opportunity

Catholic Health is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at St. Charles Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our endoscopy department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff in the performance of endoscopic procedures
  • Provide general patient care activities to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Recognize, obtain, document, and report data to relevant staff members
  • Transport patients and coordinate scheduling and registration of endoscopic procedures
  • Demonstrate technical competence in the cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of endoscopy equipment
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and optimize outcomes
  • Advocate for patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education

Requirements

  • 1+ years of nursing assistant experience in an acute care hospital setting required
  • 1-2 years of experience working in endoscopy strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certification in endoscopic procedures required (must be completed within 2 years of employment); NYS Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
