Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team at KISNER LAW LLC. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our personal injury team in all phases of the litigation process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with all phases of litigation, including case management, research, and document preparation.
  • Understand and apply local rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Manage cases from inception to resolution, including reviewing medical records and drafting medical chronologies.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, prepare pleadings, and gather medical records.
  • Conduct research, interview witnesses, and direct client communication.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling depositions, IME appointments, and issuing witness/trial subpoenas.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of paralegal experience in personal injury and workers' compensation.
  • Expert level proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Power PDF.
  • E-filing experience in Maryland, DC, and PACER.
  • Typing speed of at least 85 wpm.
  • Familiarity with OneDrive and case management software.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal injury law procedures, regulations, and the litigation process.
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation claims process in MD and DC is preferred.
  • Utilizing case management software to track and monitor tasks and deadlines.
  • Calendaring Scheduling Order deadlines, trial dates, client meetings, depositions, etc.
  • Willingness to perform administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs.
  • Written and verbal fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
