Job Overview

COMPENSATION: $14.30 per hour (up to 1,500 hours annually).

POSITION SUMMARY: This role primarily involves managing operations within the golf shop.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are indicative of the role but not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all patrons.
  • Manage tee time bookings, including processing online reservations.
  • Check in golfers and handle payments through a point of sale system.
  • Oversee the sale of merchandise within the golf shop.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop and surrounding areas, including restrooms.
  • Receive and organize stock items in designated storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the Golf Service Manager regarding low stock.
  • Ensure accurate daily revenue reporting and maintain a sufficient change fund.
  • Facilitate the smooth flow of golfers from the #1 and #10 tees.
  • Promote the Huron-Clinton Metroparks and associated events.
  • Assist the Golf Service Manager with various related tasks.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to recognize letters and symbols.
  • Proficient communication skills via telephone.
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor and courtesy towards customers.
  • Competence in operating a computer and relevant software.
  • Accurate cash handling skills, including making change.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on park needs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and visitors.
  • Availability to work during special events, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Willingness to adjust work schedule to meet organizational demands.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
  • Capability to perform essential job functions.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to comprehend and execute oral and written instructions.
  • Physical capability to load, unload, and transport materials as needed.
