About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives, including First Time Quality, Kaizen events, and Supplier Owned Quality (SOQ) projects.
  • Develop and implement purchasing controls procedures and work instructions, ensuring alignment with global policies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues, including Root Cause investigations and Corrective Actions.
  • Manage the Approved Suppliers List (ASL) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement Receiving Inspection plans and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Lead on all purchasing controls activities, including Production Part Approval process (PPAP) and Supplier Performance Monitoring.
  • Plan and execute supplier audits as required.
  • Develop and implement supplier CAPAs and ensure timely closure of Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant Manufacturing (internal & external) Supplier Quality Engineering experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Medical, Pharmaceutical or highly regulated product industry.
  • DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification and demonstrated experience leading DMAIC Projects.
  • ISO 13485 / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience in multiple Quality related functions (Receiving Inspection, Quality Control, etc.).
