Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fats & Oils Trader to join our team at JBS USA Holdings, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales, trading, and management of assigned commodities, with a primary focus on achieving budgetary and company targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Trading: Drive sales to achieve budgetary and company targets, including profit targets, cash flow return on assets, and working capital requirements.
  • Strategy Development: Develop, in conjunction with commercial managers, sales, trading, and operational strategies that are realistic and profitable.
  • Growth Opportunities: Identify growth opportunities through the leverage of existing assets and the identification of new opportunities in conjunction with business development and projects.
  • Sales Process Development: Develop the sales process, including the customer base and servicing of existing customers.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain effective relationships with internal counterparts, customers, and third-party suppliers.
  • Key Account Management: Manage designated key customers/destinations as a complete package to ensure that the Company's trading activities exceed the expectations of new and existing buyers and suppliers.
  • Collaboration: Work with shipping, logistics, rail, finance, and other functions that impact on key accounts and relevant commodities.
  • Process Improvement: Liaise with the Commercial Manager concerning process issues in the Trading and Administration areas.
  • Risk Management: Ensure the appropriate protection of the Company's financial interests by conscious and active risk management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Agricultural Business, Animal Science, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years' relevant industry experience, with previous physical commodity trading experience highly desired.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success leading a team in a commercial environment.
  • Sales and Marketing: Sales and marketing experience.
  • International Shipping and Logistics: Strong knowledge of International Shipping and Logistics processes.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Problem Solving: Problem solving skills.
  • Agricultural Supply Systems: Strong knowledge of agricultural supply systems and exporting/importing/logistics for perishable commodities.
  • Microsoft Office: Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Accommodation: Ability to perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
  • Paid Time Off: Sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays.
  • 401(k): Company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule.
  • Base Salary: Base salary range of $90,000-$120,000.
  • Incentive Pay: Eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, with the amount of bonus varying and subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
