Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Clearwater Paper. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our organization by providing strategic HR guidance and support to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business results and improve employee engagement.
  • Leadership Development: Design and deliver training programs to develop the skills and competencies of our leaders and employees.
  • Work Systems: Identify and implement cost-effective training and education solutions to meet the needs of our employees.
  • Policy and Compliance: Educate and coach leaders on company policies, work rules, and applicable federal and state regulations to ensure compliance and fair treatment of employees.
  • Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies to deliver accurate, consistent, and timely information to employees and business leaders.
  • Research and Innovation: Research and introduce best practices in HR to ensure our organization is utilizing leading-edge HR technology and strategies.
  • Labor Relations: Represent management in labor relations, including interpretation, administration, and negotiation support of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Change Management: Champion change management systems to drive the continued development of a reliability culture.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Present to the department periodically and at the end of the internship.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business.
  • Experience: Ability to work with and influence others, self-directed, and take initiative to move forward with ideas.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project), effective communication, and ability to work well with others.
  • Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, occasional lifting up to 20 lbs, and reading computer screens.
