We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Provider to join our team at Corewell Health. As a casual medical care specialist, you will provide medical care to patients of varying type and acuity, working under physician supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care to patients, including writing orders and prescriptions, coordinating diagnostic evaluations, and referring patients to home care and other community agencies.
- Obtain patient histories and perform physical exams, assessing patient needs and developing teaching strategies to educate patients and their families.
- Act as a patient advocate, communicating and collaborating with healthcare teams to meet patient needs.
- Perform and assist with designated procedures, documenting patient information in the medical record and dictating information as necessary.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as nursing or physician assistant studies.
- Current licensure and certification in the state of Michigan, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience working in occupational health, urgent care, emergency department, or orthopedics.
