Surgical Technician

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical intake operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic front-desk support for clinical intake operations, including greeting patients, answering calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as typing routine materials, maintaining files, and processing documents.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-ups, as well as preparing the daily schedule.
- Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and other necessary documents.
- Scan documents into the intake system and monitor the intake work queue for timely completion.
- Refer patients to the Business Office Associate for insurance-related inquiries or financial matters.
- Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, nurses, and office staff.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Internet applications.
- Light, accurate keyboarding skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer-based scheduling and appointment programs.
