Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day trade compliance support for export and import activities, including resolution of customs broker and freight forwarder issues.
  • Gather and report financial data as needed related to duties spent.
  • Drive implementation of cost savings programs, such as Duty Drawback and Bonded Warehouse, to ensure recovery of duties for qualifying goods.
  • Lead the analysis and investigation of country of origin discrepancies within SAP and develop processes to ensure correct data is captured on all compliance documentation.
  • Handle HTS product classification, country of origin analysis, valuation, and free trade agreement status for new and existing products.
  • Maintain classification, country of origin, free trade agreement, and assists records and databases, with a focus on SAP ERP utilization.
  • Support internal teams with IPS Ticket Processing to ensure timely progress on new or updated projects.
  • Support the Global Trade Compliance Manager in implementing trade compliance and international supply chain security policies.
Requirements
  • College degree and/or prior experience in US trade compliance.
  • Knowledge of US Customs and Export Administration Regulations.
  • 1-3 years of experience on import and export issues on a global scale, including foreign laws and regulations.
  • Experience with SAP and trade compliance software is a plus.
