Mortgage Closer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Closer to join our team at First Equity Funding. As a Mortgage Closer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of residential mortgages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with attorneys and title companies to facilitate timely and efficient loan closings.
  • Collaborate with loan processors and loan officers to ensure loan closing requirements are met.
  • Verify that all closing conditions have been satisfied and adhere to closing instructions.
  • Prepare and execute the transfer of lender funds for disbursement.
  • Satisfy any post-closing issues promptly.
  • Affirm loan compliance with investor product and program guidelines, as well as state and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in real estate mortgage loan processing, lending, or closing; experience with banking, credit unions, or financial services funding is suitable.
  • Strong analysis, time management, and organization skills are desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
