Mortgage Closer Position

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Closer to join our lending team at First Equity Funding. The ideal candidate will have experience processing, funding, or closing residential mortgages and possess strong problem-solving and organization skills.

This is an in-office position, looking for candidates who live within commuting distance. The Mortgage Closer will collaborate with loan processors and loan officers to ensure loan closings, adhere to closing instructions, and verify that all closing conditions have been satisfied.

The successful candidate will prepare and execute the transfer of lender funds for disbursement, satisfy any post-closing issues quickly, and affirm loan compliance with all investor product and program guidelines and policies, as well as state and federal regulations.

The Mortgage Closer will also coordinate with attorneys and title companies to ensure timely and efficient loan closings.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with loan processor and loan officer or funder from origination to close to ensure loan closing
• Adhere to closing instructions and verify that all closing conditions have been satisfied
• Prepare and execute the transfer of lender funds for disbursement
• Satisfy any post-closing issues quickly
• Affirm loan compliance with all investor product and program guidelines and policies, as well as state and federal regulations
• Coordinate with attorneys and title companies to ensure timely and efficient loan closings

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience of previous real estate mortgage loan processing, lending, or closing experience is preferred, experience with banking, credit unions, or financial services funding is suitable
• Strong analysis, time management, and organization skills are desired
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
