Nurse Extern PRN Acute Care Medsurg Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Extern to join our team at TriStar Summit Medical Center. As a Nurse Extern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced acute care environment while providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
  • Assist the nursing staff in providing patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN).
  • Consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
  • Document patient care information in the appropriate computer screens.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
Requirements:
  • Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
  • Can be considered for Nurse Extern after completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first semester of RN program.
