Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Extern to join our team at TriStar Summit Medical Center. As a Nurse Extern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced acute care environment while working alongside our experienced nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
  • Assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department.
  • Consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current.
  • Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
  • Can be considered for Nurse Extern after completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first semester of RN program.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
