About the Role:
Transportation Research Center Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join our team as a Senior Crash Test Development Specialist. This role plays a vital part in maintaining, preparing, and qualifying crash test dummies for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, repair, and troubleshoot crash test dummies.
- Prepare and conduct ATD pre-crash qualification tests.
- Calibrate and repair instrumentation.
- Organize and document test reports and activity logs accurately.
- Ensure calibration records are organized and stored properly.
- Provide technical support to project teams.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required, Associate's degree in a technology discipline preferred.
- 5 years of related experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Practical knowledge and experience of electronics applications.
- Knowledge of physics and engineering.
Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment with occasional exposure to inclement weather.
- May be exposed to temperatures below 0 degrees and above 95 degrees.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
