Position Overview

The Member Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for members by delivering exceptional customer support to Planet Fitness members, potential members, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome members, potential members, and guests, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Manage all front desk operations, including:
  • Answering phone calls with a friendly demeanor and assisting callers with various inquiries.
  • Checking members into the system.
  • Facilitating new member registrations.
  • Conducting tours for prospective members.
  • Updating member accounts as necessary.
  • Addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Manager when required.
  • Contributing to the cleanliness and organization of the facility.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • A strong interest in fitness and wellness.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Dependability and punctuality are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities; capable of interacting positively and professionally with members and colleagues, surpassing member expectations.
  • Strong listening skills with the capacity to empathize and resolve issues.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Regular communication in person or over the phone during the shift.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials during the shift.
Additional Benefits

All employees will receive a complimentary Black Card membership after 90 days of employment.

As a Core Development and Management employee, you may qualify for benefits if you are regularly scheduled and work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Benefits commence on the first of the month following your hire date and include options for medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, a 401k with company contributions, paid vacation, and additional benefits such as pet insurance and Aflac.

Compensation: $16.25 per hour
