POSITION OVERVIEW:
Engage in a dynamic clinic environment alongside fellow Customer Service Representatives. Responsibilities include data entry into electronic medical records (EMR), managing incoming calls, distributing office documents, and coordinating appointment schedules. You will check patients in upon their arrival and out prior to their departure. Additional tasks include processing payments and addressing patient inquiries.
Your role is vital in maintaining high-quality service for patients of The Rural Alliance for Better Family Health, operating as Southern Missouri Community Health Center (SMCHC).
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or GED is required. Courses in health records, computer skills, word processing, and typing are advantageous.
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
- Reliable transportation for travel between clinics and for attending off-site meetings and training sessions when necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of courses in health records, computer applications, word processing, and typing is beneficial.
- At least six months of experience in patient check-in/check-out, chart management, appointment scheduling, or telephone support in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with medical or dental terminology through coursework.
