We are seeking a highly skilled Physician - Endocrinology Specialist to join our team at Health by Design. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our endocrinology and diabetes services.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in endocrinology and diabetes, with a focus on patient-centered care. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine-related conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, and metabolic disorders.
Responsibilities:- Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating patients with endocrine-related conditions.
- Advise, order, and perform tests and interpret the results.
- Discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and educate them on medications, lifestyle, and dietary changes.
- Carry out follow-up appointments, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and update patient records.
- Support patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions by assisting with caregiver education.
- Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources.
- Determine which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.
- Document all services in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine - REQUIRED
- TRULY Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism - REQUIRED
- Active TX license (or compact) in hand - REQUIRED (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- ACLS, BLS through AHA (or able to obtain prior to start) - REQUIRED
- DEA (or able to obtain prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Minimum two (2) years employment experience (not including training) in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
