Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery, including outpatient exams, patient preparation, and laboratory testing.
- Provide basic animal handling and restrain animals during exams, while maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety.
- Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments at the discretion of the veterinarian.
- Clean and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab spaces, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, practice team members, and clients to ensure seamless patient care and client satisfaction.
- State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of desired employment.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier loads.
- Practice OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS office applications.
- Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety and client satisfaction.
