Washington, Washington, D.C., United States MedStar Radiology Network - Washington, D.C. & Maryland Full time

MedStar Radiology Network is actively looking for a skilled MRI Technologist to take on the role of Clinical Supervisor at our outpatient imaging facility.

This full-time position is primarily focused on overseeing MRI services during the evening shift, specifically from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday. The role encompasses approximately 80% clinical patient interaction and 20% leadership responsibilities within the MRI Department.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Clinical Supervisor, you will:

  • Oversee and manage clinical operations within designated areas of the Imaging Department, including equipment management, personnel oversight, scheduling, financial operations, and customer service.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in a safe environment, adhering to established guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff, drawing on your extensive experience in medical imaging.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in medical imaging.
  • A comprehensive understanding of departmental functions necessary for effective staff supervision.
  • A degree from an accredited program in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine technology, or equivalent experience.

Radiologic Technologists must hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration. Additionally, an advanced registration through ARRT in another modality is required or must be obtained within the first year of employment.

Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and ancillary tools is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.

Familiarity with computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and data retrieval, is also necessary.

If you meet these qualifications, we encourage you to consider this opportunity with MedStar Radiology Network, where we collaborate with local healthcare providers to create and manage high-quality, accessible outpatient diagnostic imaging centers.
