Samaritan's Purse is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to serve in an on-call capacity at our Coppell, Texas location. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the safety and well-being of all persons and property at our facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness and respond promptly to security incidents
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter undesirable activity and ensure a secure environment
  • Screen pedestrian and vehicular traffic for authorization to enter the premises
  • Operate various security equipment, including card access, fire and burglar alarm, video cameras, and ministry vehicles
  • Report hazardous conditions and follow all call-in procedures in case of emergency
  • Identify and respond to potential security threats, including suspicious individuals and situations
  • Monitor activity across the facility through regular physical patrols and use of video surveillance
  • Control access to the facility during non-business hours; open/close and secure all buildings as scheduled
  • Document all notable activity in shift logs or incident reports

Requirements

  • Basic Law Enforcement Training and minimum 2 years experience as a Law Enforcement Officer or equivalent
  • Must be eligible to complete and pass any required trainings and certifications
  • Basic keyboarding and computer skills, strongly preferred
  • Motivated self-starter; sees a need and takes initiative
  • Trustworthy and mature
  • Patient when tasks are routine, but quick on their feet to respond to a crisis
  • Fluency in English, required
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies, strongly preferred
