We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Saxon Global. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, with a focus on web and thick-client applications.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, with a strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, CSS, and database connectivity. They will also have a solid grasp of compliance and regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS, SOX, and HIPAA.

The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for performing manual web application vulnerability assessments without the use of automated tools, as well as capturing and analyzing network traffic to identify vulnerabilities and sensitive data. They will also have a strong understanding of core security fundamentals, including defense in depth, the principle of least privilege, access control, encryption, and cryptography.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience with enterprise-level security control implementations, including network intrusion detection and prevention, corporate antivirus, and data loss prevention. They will also have demonstrable knowledge of the principles and techniques used to bypass these controls.

The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for creating high-quality written reports containing the findings from web and thick-client vulnerability assessments, as well as articulating those findings to peer technical staff and management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, CSS, and database connectivity
  • Solid grasp of compliance and regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS, SOX, and HIPAA
  • Ability to perform manual web application vulnerability assessments without the use of automated tools
  • Ability to capture and analyze network traffic to identify vulnerabilities and sensitive data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more of the following certifications: GSEC, GWAPT, CISSP, GPEN, GXPEN, CISA, CISM, OSCP, OSCE

Onsite Details:

The Cybersecurity Specialist will be based at our Houston campus and will work on-site every day.
