Job Description

The Meeting Production Specialist is a versatile and experienced professional in commercial audiovisual systems with the ability to excel under limited supervision. This position is part of the virtual team, but some tasks may require physical presence onsite in College Park, MD / Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate possesses advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills with a concierge level of customer service. They are well-versed in all aspects of government-based virtual webinar coordination, with the ability to schedule and effectively communicate a clear plan, leading to a successful event. This Specialist must be able to lead projects and small teams of 1-3 technicians, ensuring projects are completed timely and accurately.

AV Systems Expertise: Command conference room AV systems and various virtual collaboration platforms, with an understanding of the challenges customers experience in a hybrid meeting environment.

Customer Service: Provide concierge-level customer service, offering unique and practical solutions to clients' needs while demonstrating the ability to adapt and present suitable alternatives.

Virtual Meetings: Coordinate and manage government-based virtual webinars with advanced troubleshooting skills, maintaining poise in a high-paced government environment.

Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of various physical in-room conference systems, including troubleshooting AV racks, teleconference-VTC codecs, Creston/AMX, and related touch panel systems.

Project Management: Create, coordinate, and maintain deadlines from pre-meeting through post-production responsibilities.

Self-Initiative: Take on tasks without supervision and show initiative in self-assigning tasks to areas that require additional support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Must understand AV conference room system operation and signal flow.

Must have experience performing lead functions as an AV tech.

Experience working in a government environment is preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain public trust clearance.

Audio Visual Technician (AVT) certification must be completed within 90 days of employment.

Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) certification is a plus.

Physical, Mental, & Environmental Requirements

Office Environment: The role primarily involves working in an office setting, either on-site or remotely, requiring the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while using a computer.

Visual and Auditory Requirements: Proficient use of a computer, including reading from a screen and using a keyboard and mouse. Ability to participate in video conferences, phone calls, and in-person meetings.

Mobility: Ability to work within an office environment, attending meetings or collaborating with team members.

Manual Dexterity: The role requires the operation of office equipment, such as computers, phones, and other devices.

Travel Requirements: Depending on the project, there might be occasional travel to client sites or other company locations, which may involve walking, standing, and possibly carrying light equipment or materials. Occasional travel to client sites or company locations may be required, necessitating reliable and consistent transportation.

Stress Management: The role can be demanding, involving the management of multiple projects, teams, and client expectations, so the ability to handle stress effectively is important.
