Rooms Operations Manager

As a Rooms Operations Manager at Marriott, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in managing the execution of all operations in these departments, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff is motivated and empowered to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of staff in the rooms area departments, ensuring that they have the capabilities to meet expectations and exceed guest satisfaction results.
- Verify that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity, and develop game plans to attack need areas and expand on strengths.
- Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping.
- Follow property-specific second effort and recovery plans, and publish guest satisfaction results in a timely fashion.
- Take proactive approaches when dealing with employee concerns, and extend professionalism and courtesy to employees at all times.
- Communicate and update all goals and results with employees, and meet semiannually with staff on a one-to-one basis.
- Assist and teach the team in scheduling against guest and hours/occupied room goals, and perform hourly job functions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- High school diploma or GED, with 4 years of experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major, with 2 years of experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
As a Rooms Operations Manager at Marriott, you will be eligible for a competitive salary range of $57,000 to $69,000 annually, as well as a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off, life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account, flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, and other life and work wellness benefits.
