Role Summary and Requirements:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department Float Pool, your key responsibilities will include conducting patient evaluations, developing care strategies, and overseeing non-licensed staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document thorough patient assessments upon entry
- Develop and adjust care plans based on patient feedback
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and necessary treatments
- Alert relevant personnel regarding any changes in patient conditions
- Educate patients about their care and treatment options
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; BSN is preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas
- Various certifications as per St. David's Healthcare standards
