Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic health services to patients.
- Conduct patient interviews and examinations, assess medical histories, and perform necessary diagnostic tests.
- Identify and manage acute health issues, including illnesses and injuries.
- Differentiate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize serious health concerns.
- Provide direct medical assistance to patients experiencing illness or disability.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive health services, including immunizations and health education.
- Work alongside physicians in managing complex medical cases.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and improvement strategies.
- Offer preventive health guidance, including nutrition and child development.
- Assess the overall healthcare needs of patients and develop plans to address these needs.
- Ensure accurate medical records are maintained for all patients to support comprehensive care.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Two years of relevant medical experience or equivalent training.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current Physician Assistant license.
- Must maintain a valid and unrestricted medical practice license.
- Background checks and driving record assessments may be required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary.
- Fluency in both Tohono O'odham language and English may be required based on departmental needs.
