Position Overview:
The MDS Specialist is a pivotal role within our organization, focusing on the meticulous and timely execution of the MDS assessment tool. Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the comprehensive management and documentation of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to guarantee appropriate reimbursement for services rendered.
2. Conduct concurrent MDS evaluations to ensure the attainment of maximum allowable RUG categories.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services, to facilitate accurate reimbursement processes.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a degree from an accredited School of Nursing with a current Registered Nurse (RN) license. LPNs with MDS experience may also be considered.
- A minimum of one year of experience in long-term care nursing is required.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $97,000 - $106,000 annually.
