The Certified Peer Specialist provides support and guidance to individuals in need, assisting with daily decision-making and problem-solving skills. This role involves offering emotional support, modeling positive behavior, and observing and monitoring participants' behavior during daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care and daily routines.
- Provide training and education on basic personal and social skills, academics, or work skills.
- Work with team members to develop individualized plans and goals for participants.
- Chart observations and incidents, and refer concerns to appropriate staff as needed.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for individuals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Any combination of training and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
