Position Summary


The Facilities Maintenance Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance team responsible for servicing a variety of commercial, multi-family, and single-family properties.

This role demands strong leadership and customer service abilities, alongside relevant construction experience and necessary licenses/certifications to perform intermediate and advanced repairs across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities


Safety is a top priority at LifeMoves, and the Facilities Maintenance Manager is crucial in ensuring safe, clean, and functional facilities for the community, including staff, clients, volunteers, and supporters.

Utilization of agency vehicles, tools, and equipment is essential in executing LifeMoves operations.


Core Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage, assign, and execute work orders through the maintenance system, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Establish and coordinate a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Monitor service quality and proactively address any deficiencies, while maintaining communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise and train the facilities team, ensuring effective communication with internal customers requiring maintenance services.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist in managing external vendors, including sourcing, scope definition, quality assurance, and performance assessment.
  • Identify and escalate unreported maintenance issues, particularly those that may pose safety risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Guarantee adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

Repair Responsibilities:
  • Perform drywall installation and repair, as well as painting for both interior and exterior areas.
  • Manage flooring maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Conduct repairs or replacements of doors, windows, fences, roofs, etc.
  • Install or repair fixtures, locks, drapes, and blinds.
  • Execute electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches, and circuits, including lightbulb replacements.
  • Handle plumbing repairs for water and sewage systems, including the replacement of fittings and clearing blockages.

Warehouse Oversight:
  • Ensure safe, clean, and organized warehouse environments.
  • Protect agency assets, including materials, tools, and equipment utilized by the maintenance team.
  • Oversee warehouse inventory and make necessary purchases to maintain stock levels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of maintenance and/or construction experience in supervisory roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all organizational levels independently and as part of a team, delivering quality customer service.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills for receiving direction and reporting progress.
  • Proficient computer skills for standard business functions and familiarity with business applications and software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is advantageous.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training within the first three months of employment.
