Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to support families in achieving permanency goals. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating interventions to ensure children's safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct home visits to foster care homes and birth parents' residences to assess their needs and develop a service plan

  2. Coordinate family visits at our agency or in the community to promote positive relationships and outcomes

  3. Facilitate weekly support groups for birth and foster parents to provide education and resources

  4. Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with ACS' ASFA guidelines

  5. Accompany families to necessary appointments, such as medical and educational services

  6. Attend court hearings, conferences, and training sessions as scheduled

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Russian a plus

Estimated Salary Range: $27.47 - $32.69 per hour (based on location and experience)
