Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager at Hy-Vee, Inc. is responsible for providing strategic HR support to the store management team. This includes recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees, as well as managing employee relations, benefits, and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees to meet business needs
- Develop and implement employee relations strategies to improve employee engagement and retention
- Manage benefits, payroll, and other HR-related administrative tasks
- Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with store management to identify and address HR-related issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a retail or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and laws
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Working Conditions
This position is occasionally exposed to chemicals/solvents. This is a fast-paced work environment.
