Job Summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a weekend program. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with various speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to identify treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient goals and objectives.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to identify and resolve problems affecting patient care outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday. The Speech Language Pathologist must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist level, lift and carry up to 40 pounds at waist height, and push/pull with 30 pounds of force. The position also requires repetitive use of hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling.
