The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a **Capstone Program Coordinator** to assist in the management of the Masters Capstone initiative.

In this program, Masters students collaborate in small teams to tackle real-world challenges using actual data. These challenges are sourced from various sectors, including industry, government, non-profit organizations, and academia.

The coordinator will play a vital role in the project sourcing process leading up to the program's launch. The goal is to facilitate the initiation of numerous unique projects within the designated timeframe.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Conducting research on potential capstone sponsors within the region; Re-engaging previous sponsors through outreach efforts.
Overseeing a database of capstone applications, ensuring proper categorization and forwarding to mentors for evaluation; Following up with applicants regarding incomplete submissions.
Organizing informational sessions and meetings for potential sponsors.
Collaborating with the Office of Sponsored Programs regarding data use agreements and necessary internal approvals.
Coordinating sponsor open house events and facilitating the student matching process.
Monitoring project expenses and generating budget reports.

**Qualifications Required:**

A Bachelor's degree.
Proficiency in learning new systems such as Huron, Workday, and Qualtrics.

**Compensation:** $28.00 per hour.

This position is classified as a wage role, which does not include benefits or leave entitlements and is limited to a maximum of 1500 work hours annually.

**Physical Requirements:** This role primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be necessary to attend meetings and programs.
