Job Overview

The Housekeeping Room Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations. This position is essential in ensuring that all areas meet the high standards expected by our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the I-Serve standards consistently throughout the resort.
  • Adhere to all company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety protocols.
  • Report to the designated workstation punctually as per the attendance policy.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to services and operational procedures.

Specific Duties:

  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within the designated timeframes.
  • Ensure that guest rooms and villas are impeccably clean and well-presented.
  • Promptly report any issues or deficiencies in assigned areas.
  • Keep public spaces clean and properly maintained.
  • Ensure safety by keeping corridors and stairways unobstructed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping storage areas and on carts.
  • Restock attendant carts at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in meetings and maintain a safe workplace; report any potential hazards.
  • Immediately turn in any lost and found items to the housekeeping manager.
  • Consistently adhere to Welk Resorts' guest engagement service standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Preferred candidates will have at least six months of relevant experience or training. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous. Proficiency in using mobile devices for task management is also beneficial.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills with guests and team members are essential. Proficiency in English is required.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The associate must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 100 pounds on occasion. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
